Know your coffee’s moisture.
Make a more informed call.
Check incoming beans with a coffee moisture meter that puts a measurable result behind your next decision. Test samples at receiving, compare readings during storage, and keep moisture checks close to the coffee you handle.
- Automatic averaging
- Reading memory
- Backlit LCD
Check before you accept
Add a moisture reading to your receiving inspection and compare it with your agreed purchasing specifications.
Compare more than one sample
Automatic averaging summarizes multiple readings. Built-in memory keeps measurements available for reference.
Bring testing to the lot
A portable format and illuminated display make sample checks practical at a receiving bench or in a dimmer storage area.
From delivery to storage
A numerical check beyond look and feel
A new delivery arrives at your roastery. Before it joins your inventory, you want a moisture reading to record alongside the lot number, supplier information, and physical inspection.
The SKZ111B-2PRO is a sample-based moisture analyzer that measures the material’s electrical response and reports moisture content as a percentage by weight. Unlike judging beans by appearance or feel, it gives you a numerical result to compare with your own acceptance criteria.
Use representative samples from the lot. A reading describes the material in the measuring chamber, not every bean in the shipment. Review individual results as well as the average.
A straightforward routine
Select. Prepare. Measure.
The selected material appears on screen, helping your team confirm the setting before each test.
-
01 / SELECT
Match the material
Choose the appropriate setting for your sample and check its name on the display.
-
02 / PREPARE
Fill and tighten
Follow the supplied filling instructions. Remove excess material as directed and tighten the cap until the audible alert sounds.
-
03 / MEASURE
Read and compare
Run the test, review the displayed result, and repeat with additional samples when your inspection procedure calls for it.
The beep confirms cap tightness. It does not indicate that testing is complete or that the coffee meets your quality requirements.
One instrument, several materials
For coffee workflows that go beyond green beans
The supplier’s supported-material list includes the following coffee and cacao materials. Select the appropriate setting and confirm its applicable measuring range for your samples.
Green coffee
Unroasted, hulled beans.
Parchment coffee
Beans with the parchment layer intact.
Dried coffee cherries
Whole dried coffee fruit.
Cacao beans
A further listed material for mixed coffee and cacao operations.

Before you choose your coffee moisture meter
Can I use it for roasted coffee?
Roasted coffee appears in the supplier’s material list, but the available specifications do not establish a verified roasted-coffee measuring range. If roasted beans are your main application, confirm the setting and its range before ordering.
Does one test represent the entire lot?
No. Each measurement describes the sample placed in the chamber. Follow a representative sampling procedure and compare individual readings before relying on an average for your inspection.
Is the measuring range the same for every material?
Do not assume a single range applies to every setting. The supplied specifications list different ranges for different material groups, without a clear range for each coffee type. Confirm the range for the material you plan to test.
What does the moisture percentage tell me?
It reports the estimated water content as a percentage of the sample’s weight. Use this result alongside your physical inspection and quality-control requirements; the moisture reading alone is not a complete assessment of coffee quality.
Make moisture part of your routine.
Bring sample readings, automatic averaging, and stored results to the point where you receive and handle your coffee.
